About Me

I am a Postdoctoral Fellow at Perry World House at the University of Pennsylvania. An interdisciplinary law and society scholar, I research and write about immigration law and policy, law and social movements, and the legal profession. My research draws on a range of methods, including interviews, ethnographic observation, survey experiments, and legal and textual analysis.

I have received several grants and fellowships for my research, including generous support from the National Science Foundation.

I hold a PhD in Jurisprudence and Social Policy from the University of California, Berkeley; a JD with a specialization in international law from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law; an MA in the Social Sciences from the University of Chicago; and a BA in International Relations and Italian Language and Culture from Wellesley College.
